Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage clients in meaningful discussions regarding their relational issues and emotional states, helping them explore and articulate their feelings and concerns.

• Conduct weekly counseling sessions for families and couples facing challenges such as divorce, custody disputes, emotional abuse, mental illness, and financial stressors.

• Empower clients to develop personal coping mechanisms and effective conflict resolution strategies that can be applied in everyday scenarios.

• Manage a diverse caseload, tailoring treatment plans to reflect the unique needs and situations of each client.

• Collaborate with various professionals in the mental health sector—including psychiatrists, school counselors, and social workers—to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Evaluate and monitor children during court-ordered therapy sessions, providing insights and recommendations for custody considerations.

• Assist clients in accessing additional support resources such as housing assistance and financial counseling to facilitate their progress.

• Lead training sessions for colleagues on stress management and mental health strategies during professional development days, contributing to a culture of learning and support.

The clientele you will work with ranges from engaged couples to families facing various relational complexities. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• Current professional state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Successful completion of an internship or clinical program in marriage and family therapy.

• Strong interpersonal skills coupled with a compassionate demeanor that enhances the client-therapist relationship.

Preferred Experience\n

While prior experience in a similar role is advantageous, we also welcome new graduates who exhibit the necessary skills and passion for helping others. Additional certifications in trauma-informed care or crisis intervention are considered a plus!
