Regional Sales - Electrical Engineering exp.

A unique opportunity exists with an Electronics manufacturer located on Long Island, NY which has over seventy years in design and manufacturing of power conversion systems for aircraft, shipboard, ground vehicles, railroads, oil exploration, simulators, production test, and utilities.

Job Description:

The Regional Salesperson (Central) will be responsible for managing accounts, uncovering new opportunities for the central United States. Key duties include discussing proposals and quotes with customers. Developing new accounts, drive follow-on business with repeat customers and representing the company at trade shows and events.

The Salesperson will be expected to build strong relationships with key customers while promoting a solutions selling mentality. The salesperson must be able to drive prospecting, identify and cultivate new potential customers and applicable opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage business development for region; build and manage customer relationships.
• Schedule and attend meetings with prospective customers by phone, video conference and in person to provide technical information, recommend products and present system solutions.
• Drive growth through developing new customers and opportunities.
• Manage existing accounts and support program goals.
• Travel estimated at 25% to assigned region to visit customers, attend tradeshows and events.

 

Qualifications:

· Preferred candidate would have at least 5 years sales experience selling electrical equipment to defense industry.

• Must have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, CRM and PowerPoint and remote meeting (zoom, teams etc)programs.
• Current relationships with Prime military contractors will be a Plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or STEM field, MBA a plus but not required.

Please note that this is not a remote position, we are located in Hauppauge, Long Island.

 

Compensation:

$100,000/yr. - $120,000/ yr. w/ Commission, Depending on Experience.
