Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Mall Vehicle Patrol Driver in Wheaton, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. - Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout interior common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report suspicious conditions, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
