Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans to meet both immediate goals and long-term aspirations related to communication, cognitive, or swallowing abilities.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design and implement integrated care strategies.
• Provide essential education for patients and their families to support their progress beyond the clinic.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
• Keep precise and timely documentation in accordance with relevant state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous learning and peer collaboration to stay at the forefront of advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not previously ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of starting employment.
