We are seeking a detail-oriented a Remote Recovery Specialist to join a growing financial services team. This role is responsible for managing mortgage-related claims, recoveries, and reporting activities while ensuring compliance with investor and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in mortgage servicing, loss mitigation, claims processing, or related financial services and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process mortgage insurance, investor, and government agency claims.
• Prepare, review, and submit claims through Electronic Default Reporting (EDR) and other servicing platforms.
• Coordinate claim activity with investors, insurers, and government entities including FHA, VA, USDA, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae.
• Review loan documentation to ensure claim accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Track claim status, recoveries, reimbursements, and outstanding balances.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation and reporting records.
• Research discrepancies and resolve issues related to claims submissions and recoveries.
• Collaborate with internal departments including servicing, loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and accounting teams.
• Ensure adherence to investor guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Support continuous process improvements to maximize recovery opportunities and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, mortgage claims, loss mitigation, accounting, collections, or related financial services.
• Experience working with mortgage claim submissions and recovery processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other business applications.
• Experience utilizing Electronic Default Reporting (EDR).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience working with FHA Connection and GSE claim submissions.
• Knowledge of private mortgage insurance (PMI) claims.
• Familiarity with USDA, HUD, VA, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae servicing requirements.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour
