What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality emergency care to diverse patient populations, including infants to end-of-life cases
• Manage patients with acuity levels ranging from moderate to critical, including trauma stabilization and transfer
• Perform ventilator management, critical care drips/titration, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Administer medications, monitor hemodynamic lines, and assist with procedures like splinting and stroke interventions
• Collaborate with hospitalist teams, ED physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Chart accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR and operate hospital equipment such as IV pumps and medication dispensers
• Support unit operations as needed, including taking patient assignments and participating in team efforts

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license or applicable state license
• 2+ years of ER experience, with critical care and ventilator skills preferred
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB
• Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, trauma management, and patient assessment
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
