Linux Systems Administrator

Are you the Linux expert who knows how to keep complex systems secure, automated, and running at their best? Our client is seeking a senior Linux systems professional to help keep a large enterprise environment secure, automated, resilient, and running at peak performance. This is a high-impact infrastructure role where your Red Hat expertise, automation mindset, and CI/CD experience will directly support critical systems and business operations.

- Birmingham-based role with hybrid flexibility after the first 90 days
- High-visibility position supporting a large enterprise technology environment
- Strong focus on Red Hat Linux, automation, and modern infrastructure practices
- Opportunity to influence security, patching, deployment, and platform reliability
- Work across VMware, enterprise storage, cloud, and application infrastructure
- Up to $130,000, depending on experience
- Administer and support production Red Hat Linux servers and enterprise infrastructure
- Automate server deployments, security updates, and patch management
- Build, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines and application dependencies
- Administer VMware/ESXi infrastructure and enterprise storage environments
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide Tier 3 support
- Strong hands-on Red Hat Linux administration experience in an enterprise production environment
- Demonstrated experience automating deployments and security/patch management
- Practical CI/CD pipeline experience
- VMware administration experience, including ESXi/vCenter
- Enterprise disk, storage, or SAN environment experience
