Temporary Staff Accountant

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR A Temporary Staff Accountant will act as a strategic partner to the Accounting Department. They will support the management of retail accounting, banking and fixed asset accounting. This role will be reporting to the Accounting Manager. Key Responsibilities: Perform bank reconciliations and maintain cash accounts. Reconcile and record concession settlements and other cash-related transactions. Reconcile store credits, sales deposits, and related accounts. Investigate and resolve chargebacks, payment disputes, and fraud issues. Reconcile intercompany accounts receivable and payable balances. Reconcile balance sheet accounts. Assist with fixed asset accounting and journal entries. Support monthly sales tax filings and compliance requirements. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of corporate accounting experience 1+ years of SAP experience required Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Outlook) Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with intercompany, upper management, and external auditors/vendors High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on approach Good presentation skills for educating team members on accounting principles Excellent planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all job functions are performed in a timely and efficient manner HOW WE ARE The Valentino ecosystem is home to a wide and extraordinary pool of talents, each colleague contributing with their unique attributes, nurturing a culture of inclusivity and equality.
