Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to provide guidance and support to clients from the comfort of your own home or office. You will primarily interact with clients via telehealth sessions, as well as through virtual meetings with our interdisciplinary team. As part of an outpatient office, you'll be integrated into a system that prioritizes comprehensive care and fosters collaboration with other healthcare professionals, ensuring that clients receive the best possible support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, create clinical diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique situation.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions, group programs, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other therapeutic approaches that best meet clients’ needs.

• Provide urgent crisis intervention for clients in acute mental health crises, employing de-escalation techniques and immediate support strategies to ensure safety and stability.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate client records in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring that all documentation reflects the clients' treatment processes and progress.
\n
• Engage in collaborative care by working alongside psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to develop integrated treatment plans for clients, optimizing their overall care.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment availability, and community resources, advocating for their needs and rights throughout the therapeutic process.

• Commit to ongoing professional development by participating in training sessions, workshops, and educational opportunities to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups seeking support for various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and more. You will engage with clients from various backgrounds, including underserved and marginalized communities, providing culturally competent care that promotes inclusivity and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• Active license as a Mental Health Therapist, such as LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.

• A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required; however, a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with the ability to formulate and implement effective treatment plans.
\n
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience working in a mental health counseling setting.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in client interactions.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team of professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in an outpatient clinical setting is advantageous but not mandatory for entry-level roles.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Public Health Counseling Services also provides a sign-on bonus to welcome new team members.
