Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist reviews all incoming invoices for accuracy and prepares payment authorizations following the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and InnovAge policies and procedures. Responsibilities Perform full cycle A/P transactions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing Review electronic invoices for correct vendor and invoice information Receive and code high volume invoices Review daily email and address issues with vendors and internal customers. Reconcile past due balances. Match PO numbers with invoices and verify PO items and contract prices match Work with purchasing team to remedy PO and receiving issues Correct entries as directed by the Accounts Payable Manager Provide timely responses to internal and external vendor inquiries/issues. Ensure that checks are mailed the next business day of computer run date to provide timely payment of expenses. Perform additional various accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications 3+ years Accounts Payable experience with Associate's Degree in Accounting OR High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years Accounts Payable experience Experience and working knowledge of basic office machines including ten-key pad on computer keyboard, printers, copiers and scanners. Must be able to type at least 45 wpm and use ten-key by touch. Intermediate skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
