Mental Health Counselor

Scope of Role We are seeking a licensed Overnight Clinician to provide direct clinical services within a 24-hour Supportive Crisis Stabilization Center . This role supports individuals experiencing mental health and\/or substance use crises by delivering evidence-based, trauma-informed care in a fast-paced, recovery-oriented environment. Provide clinical treatment in compliance with 14 NYCRR Part 600 and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Deliver individual and group therapy services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed. Coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary staff. Collaborate with external providers, hospitals, and community-based referral sources. Make appropriate Level of Care (LOC) recommendations and community referrals. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and practice management systems. Ensure integrity, reliability, and accuracy of all clinical data. Utilize evidence-based practices including trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented approaches, integrated care, culturally responsive services, and wellness-focused models. Support limited outreach and referral coordination in collaboration with management staff.
