Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral status. Develop individualized treatment plans that are evidence-based and aligned with clients' specific recovery goals. Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs. Document client progress meticulously across all phases of treatment, from initial consultations to the culmination of therapy. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to create integrated care plans. Monitor and adapt treatment strategies based on client progress and feedback, ensuring they are receiving the most effective care possible. Assist clients' families in understanding and managing mental health challenges through supportive counseling and educational resources. Manage referrals and follow up with external providers and resources to support comprehensive client care. Stay informed about the latest developments in psychotherapy and mental health to ensure best practices are followed. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work primarily with adults facing a variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and behavioral challenges. You will maintain a client-centered approach that honors the diverse backgrounds and experiences of each individual. By fostering a supportive environment, you will encourage clients to share their stories, empowering them on their journey to mental wellness. Qualifications Completion of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for effective client interactions and documentation. Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in clinical practice. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, ideally including AVATAR, to streamline documentation and care coordination. Preferred Experience Prior experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in an outpatient setting. Skill and experience dealing with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices. Experience working with diverse populations, including underserved communities. In-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their implications on mental health. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
