Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients’ mental health status and therapy needs through active listening and clinical observation.

• Design and implement personalized therapy plans that incorporate evidence-based treatment approaches tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

• Provide continuous support and guidance to clients through regular sessions, employing therapeutic techniques that empower them in overcoming various mental health challenges.

• Educate clients and their families about treatment options, mental health issues, and coping strategies, reinforcing their understanding of mental health.

• Coordinate care with external healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive support when needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse issues, and eating disorders. Your experience in culturally responsive therapy will allow you to connect effectively with clients and address their specific needs. Our community-oriented approach enriches the therapeutic process, fostering trust and openness between clients and their counselors.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• At least four years of direct experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a strong foundation in improved client outcomes.

• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and the ability to apply evidence-based practices in therapy.

• Experience implementing inclusive and culturally responsive therapy approaches, proficiently handling individual and group therapy settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Western Health Counseling Services offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
