Veterinary Client Service Representative / Veterinary Receptionist

Heart of Texas in Round Rock, TX is looking for a full-time Veterinary Client Service Representative / Veterinary Receptionist. The schedule includes evening shifts Sunday-Wednesday, 2pm-12am or 3pm-1am, and day shifts, 4 days a week, with shifts from 6a-4pm, 7a-5pm, or 8a-6p. Saturday availability is required. Shift differential is available for night and weekend shifts.

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $17 $19 / hour. The final pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

About You

You are a compassionate, organized Veterinary Client Service Representative or Veterinary Receptionist with front desk experience in a busy animal hospital, specialty hospital, emergency setting, or high-volume client service environment. You are confident managing appointment scheduling, multi-line phones, check-in and check-out, payment processing, client communication, and practice management software while helping clients feel supported during each visit.

The ideal candidate:

• Brings a friendly, empathetic approach to client interactions
• Can remain calm, compassionate, and organized while managing phones, client questions, scheduling needs, and front desk responsibilities
• Works well as part of a collaborative hospital team
• Provides exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Has experience scheduling appointments, managing client flow, or coordinating calendars in a veterinary, medical, or high-volume service environment
• Previous veterinary experience is highly preferred
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
• Is available to work weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities:

• Welcome clients and patients promptly with a friendly, professional approach
• Check in patients efficiently and help guide clients through the visit process
• Schedule appointments, manage client flow, and support front desk coordination
• Answer and route incoming calls while supporting client questions, appointment needs, and hospital communication
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception and waiting area
• Process payments, handle cash accurately, and balance client accounts
• Update client and patient files, document communications, and maintain clear records in the practice management system
