Job Details

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, and functional activities as directed
• Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and rehabilitation techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient responses
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure therapy equipment is clean and functioning properly
• Encourage patient participation and motivation throughout the rehabilitation process
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California
• Minimum 2 years of recent PTA experience
• Current BLS Certification preferred
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and therapeutic techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
