Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Tue: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, visitor screening, and security‑related policies for a shelter location. Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and/or authorization, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or maintenance concerns and reporting them according to post procedures. Support daily shelter operations by assisting with check‑in activity, directing guests and deliveries, and documenting security‑related events, observations, and/or policy violations. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
