As a Security Officer Access Point Coordinator in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal in a shelter location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control, and support residents, guests, and staff with professionalism and respect. This role includes maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, and helping to deter security-related incidents through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor screening, and security-related policies for a shelter location.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and/or authorization, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or maintenance concerns and reporting them according to post procedures.
• Support daily shelter operations by assisting with check-in activity, directing guests and deliveries, and documenting security-related events, observations, and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
