Logistics Coordinator

Facilitate Shipments

Schedule and coordinate shipment logistics with customers and trucking vendors. Work as a liaison between the carriers and customers on issues that arise. Maintain good communication with customers, sales team, operations, and vendors regarding shipment details.

Contribute to Team Effort

Assist in report generation and reconciliation. Provide information as required on shipments to the finance team. Coordinate with key stakeholders and identify and solve problems. Answer phone calls and support visitors. File, copy, scan documents and ship small packages. Maintain inventory of office supplies.

Prepare product samples for shipment to prospective customers. Maintain relationships with local vendors to support facility operations. Organize plant events for employee training and customer visits.

Perform other duties and tasks as needed.

Skills Required

Strong independent work ethic. Polite, professional, clear, and concise communication via phone, e-mail, and mail. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Strong analytical, problem solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently with minimal supervision. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of appropriate software and systems, including Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Adobe Acrobat. Able to navigate new systems quickly.

Education and Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalent education required. 3 years of administrative assistant experience (preferred). Logistics experience working with trucking companies a must. Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.

Work Location / Physical Requirements

Manufacturing Environment. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
