Environmental Lawyer for Legal AI Evaluation

Role Overview
Evaluate AI-generated legal work product for realistic environmental law matters in a blinded preference study. You will apply professional legal judgment to determine which analyses are most correct, complete, useful, and well-reasoned.
Key Responsibilities
- Review a synthetic legal matter and its underlying documents.
- Assess six blinded AI-generated deliverables, labeled A through F.
- Complete five head-to-head comparisons against a common comparator deliverable.
- Record a concise, specific written explanation supporting each preference.
- Evaluate matters involving NEPA legal-sufficiency review of a draft environmental impact statement, as well as CERCLA contribution-claim defense and allocation.
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with substantive practice experience in the environmental law areas described above.
- Ability to assess legal work holistically, including correctness, completeness, judgment, and practical usefulness.
- Precise written English.
- Ability to work independently from written instructions and meet a deadline.
Work Terms
- Hourly independent contractor engagement.
- Approximately 13 hours of work across the engagement.
- All work is subject to a nondisclosure agreement.
- Do not use external AI tools with any project materials.
Compensation
$100 to $120 per hour.
