Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the OB/GYN department, ensuring adherence to established standards of care and nursing protocols. Oversees and supervises nursing staff, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
  
• Supervise and direct nursing staff to maintain high-quality care standards.
  
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for OB/GYN patients.
  
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, and families to coordinate care and ensure smooth discharge planning.
  
• Educate patients and families on health management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care strategies accordingly.
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold a valid RN licensure in the practicing state.
  
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  
• Have experience working in an acute care facility, preferably in OB/GYN or women's health.
  
• Certification in BLS and ACLS from an accredited provider required.
  
• Demonstrate excellent communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills.
