About the Role We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and oversee accurate, timely bi-weekly payroll for a large, multi-state workforce. This role blends hands-on payroll leadership , system ownership , regulatory compliance , and people management , while partnering closely with Finance, HR, and operations. You’ll serve as the payroll systems superuser , ensure compliance with evolving payroll regulations, support audits, and continuously improve processes to drive efficiency and accuracy. What You’ll Do Lead and ensure accurate, on-time bi-weekly payroll for 4,000+ employees Serve as superuser for timekeeping, scheduling, analytics, and payroll systems Oversee payroll tax filings, W-2s, and multi-state compliance Prepare and submit PBJ nurse staffing reports to CMS Manage payroll reconciliations and support internal/external audits Supervise, mentor, and develop payroll staff Analyze payroll practices and implement improved controls and efficiencies Collaborate cross-functionally and support employees with payroll inquiries What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business , or equivalent experience 5+ years of payroll experience in a large organization (2,000+ employees) 3+ years in a payroll leadership or manager role Experience with automated payroll and timekeeping systems Workday and Dimensions/Kronos preferred Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, functions) Deep understanding of payroll regulations and general ledger impacts Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills Why EverTrue Mission-driven organization making a real difference Opportunity to lead, innovate, and improve systems Stability, purpose, and professional growth Ready to bring your payroll expertise to a mission that matters?
