This full-time position is suited for an individual with a strong background in mental health counseling, who is ready to work in a remote setting while also engaging with clients in our outpatient office located in Clifton, New Jersey. This role offers flexibility with a remote work setting, allowing you to manage your schedule while engaging with clients through virtual channels or in-person assessments at our outpatient office in Clifton. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial interviews to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting findings thoroughly throughout the treatment process.

• Evaluate individual needs to devise precise intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and group dynamics.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to promote healing and personal growth, while fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, ensuring adherence to treatment goals and adjusting plans as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to create comprehensive care plans that address all aspects of a client's well-being.
\n
• Follow-up with healthcare professionals regarding clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Work proactively to identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing guidance to both clients and their families.
\n
• Educate and support family members and primary caregivers in managing mental and behavioral challenges, fostering a strong support network for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will utilize evidence-based practices to help clients navigate their issues and develop coping strategies, fostering resilience and emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Successful completion of national examinations such as NCE or NCMHCE.
\n
• Strong proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR, to manage client documentation and treatment plans effectively.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of the interaction between physical health, emotional health, and addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices is preferred.
\n
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively document client interactions and facilitate therapeutic discussions.
\n
• A genuine empathetic nature and exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a track record of successful client outcomes.

• Knowledge of the effects and management protocols for medications prescribed by medical professionals.
\n
• Experience in group therapy settings, leading effective therapeutic group sessions.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
