About This Position The Financial Accountant is responsible for assisting in preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and certain balance sheet accounts. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and bank reconciliations. Prepare reports timely and accurately. Prepare monthly journal entries. Other projects or schedules as needed for the specific business assigned. Other duties as determined by the needs of the business. Assist in annual audit. Other duties as determined by the needs of the business. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 1 year of experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization. Excellent organizational skills. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently.
