National Sales Account Manager - Direct Response
Are you a sales professional who thrives on building relationships and driving revenue growth? As a National Sales Account Manager - Direct Response at Scripps, you'll play a critical role in expanding our multi-market direct response accounts. You'll secure and grow advertising revenue across Scripps' linear broadcast stations and CTV by cultivating strong relationships with direct response clients while supporting our overall sales strategies. This is your opportunity to leverage Scripps' expanding enterprise portfolio and make a significant impact on our business.
This is a remote role and candidates can live anywhere in the Northeast where we allow fully remote work, excluding Vermont and Delaware.
What You'll Do
- Manage accounts in multiple markets with various direct response agencies.
- Leverage Scripps' established processes to streamline direct response business operations, ensuring efficient collaboration between seller and buyers.
- Submit weekly clearance reports to buyers in order to manage client expectations throughout campaigns.
- Identify, develop, and grow direct response revenue through leveraging relationships with direct response agencies and advertisers.
- Work with direct response advertisers to respond to their availability and rate requests, keep them informed of Scripps offerings and market trends.
- Track sales activity Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to exceed ad sales revenue and profit goals.
- Negotiate advertising rates with new and existing national accounts to maximize share of revenue.
- Cross sell digital & CTV inventories to generate incremental revenue.
- Prepare and present marketing proposals utilizing qualitative and quantitative research.
- Perform client services, including but not limited to avail presentations, account management reconciliation, credit and collections, package preparations.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned by sales management.
What You'll Bring
- BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of work experience.
- Generally, 3+ years of experience in related field preferred.
- Established relationships with direct response agencies strongly preferred.
- A strong understanding of television and national advertising trends is desired.
- Expert knowledge of all facets of television sales and marketing.
- An understanding of CTV and digital sales encouraged and highly desirable.
- Effectively manage a sales pipeline by engaging national accounts and agencies promoting Scripps broadcast, digital, and CTV portfolio and supporting Scripps go to market strategies.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Compensation Range:
Annual Salary: $100,000.00 - 120000 Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in New York.
