This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, ensuring that you can provide high-quality counseling services from the comfort of your home. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As part of our community health clinic, you will be equipped with digital tools and telehealth systems to facilitate virtual therapy sessions and maintain close communication with your clients and interdisciplinary team members.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly residents in order to identify their specific psychological and emotional care needs.

• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions aimed at addressing issues related to loss, aging, and life transitions, fostering resilience and coping strategies among clients.

• Deliver educational material and guidance to staff, families, and caregivers on fostering emotional health and quality of life enhancement strategies for elderly individuals.
\n
• Facilitate grief and loss counseling sessions for residents and their families who are navigating end-of-life issues, offering them support and resources during difficult times.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with seniors grappling with various age-related issues, including grief, anxiety, and depression stemming from life transitions and the loss of loved ones. Understanding the sensitive nature of these situations is critical, as you will be tasked with providing not just therapy, but empathy and support to help clients navigate their emotions effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Must demonstrate eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida.

• Completion of a full-time clinical internship within a relevant mental health setting is mandatory.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license in good standing.
\n
• Exceptional communication prowess, with a genuine ability to establish trust and rapport with clients quickly.

• Demonstrated empathy combined with effective listening skills while providing clear guidance to clients.

• Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail, necessary for maintaining accurate client records and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in addiction counseling will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 70,000 to $100,000 annually, with additional opportunities for productivity bonuses.
