Position Description The UCLA Department of Art seeks candidates to teach courses in the Painting & Drawing Area for the 2026–27 academic year. Members of the pool will be called to teach lower division, upper division, or graduate students as needed and dependent upon funding. Applicants must be able to teach the basics of painting and/or drawing, including technical skill as well as advanced concepts and practice. Students are encouraged to examine and explore creative possibilities offered by painting, drawing, and printmaking, develop critical and personal relationships to the discipline, broaden perceptual awareness and engage in discussion of historical and contemporary precedents.
