Location: Columbus, Ohio (460 West 10th Avenue)

Start Date: 10/05/2026

End Date/Duration: 01/25/2027

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) or Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30); rotating schedule based on department needs

Hours/Week: 36 hours/week

Employment Type: Contract, W-2

License/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemo Certification required; NIHSS preferred

Experience: At least 2 years of nursing experience, with minimum 1 year inpatient hematology/oncology; MS oncology experience required

What You'll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients, primarily with acute leukemia, blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolytes.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage infusion therapies following strict infection control protocols.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias using MS/Tele, including management of PICC lines and peripheral IVs.
• Conduct blood product transfusions and central line blood draws.
• Collaborate with rapid response teams and participate in fall and infection prevention initiatives.
• Document patient progress and care activities accurately on EPIC.
• Support patient education and comfort throughout treatment.

What You Need

Required:

• Active Ohio RN license
• BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemo Certification
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in inpatient hematology/oncology
• Strong telemetry skills and IV therapy experience
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias
• Flexibility with shift schedules (days/nights, variable shifts)

Preferred:

• NIHSS certification

About the Assignment This assignment offers care for adult and geriatric patients, focusing on newly diagnosed acute leukemia with a high level of blood product and electrolyte management. The unit emphasizes infection prevention and fall prevention, fostering a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff.
