Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care through comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for individuals seeking urgent care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory results, and electrocardiograms to guide patient management effectively.
• Triage patients efficiently to ensure a smooth flow and minimize wait times, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Perform essential procedures such as digital blocks, minor surgical interventions like wound closure and management, and foreign body removals.
• Consult on and conduct therapeutic procedures, which may include joint aspirations and injections to alleviate pain.
• Initiate and manage intravenous fluids according to patient needs and clinical protocols.
• Effectively manage closed reductions for simple fractures and dislocations, utilizing effective techniques to ensure patient safety.
• Provide mentorship and leadership within the team, guiding fellow advanced practice clinicians and contributing to a cohesive work environment.
• Oversee day-to-day operational tasks during your shifts, including patient callback management and lab result reviews, to maintain workflow efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will cater to a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and the elderly, reflecting the broad demographic of New York Mills. We are dedicated to providing accessible healthcare to individuals experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, or urgent health-related needs, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity for quality care.

Qualifications

• Current RN and NP licenses valid in New York State, alongside national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• A minimum of one year’s clinical experience in an urgent care, emergency room, or similar healthcare environment.
• Proficient in providing care across all age groups, demonstrating an understanding of pediatric and geriatric healthcare dynamics.
• Possess an active and unrestricted medical license, with DEA registration for prescription of controlled substances.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive patient relationships and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Must have flexibility to work two full weekends per month, aligning with our operational requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing advanced medical technologies, including our custom EHR, to enhance patient interactions and care delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
