Accounts Payable Specialist

This role requires candidates who are currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, and C2C arrangements are not accepted. This role is remote but you must work EST hours. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support the full accounts payable lifecycle in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This remote contract position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to independently resolve invoice and payment-related issues. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full invoice lifecycle, from receipt and review through approval and payment.
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding invoice and payment status.
- Research and resolve discrepancies involving invoices, purchase orders, payments, credits, and vendor records.
- Review employee expense reimbursement requests for compliance with company policies and approve eligible expenses for general ledger posting.
- Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries.
- Perform assigned account reconciliations.
- Assist with additional accounting and accounts payable projects as needed.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least three years of accounts payable experience.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting controls.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and process-focused approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with vendors, employees, and stakeholders across multiple departments.
