Senior Manager, Commercial Performance Optimization Technical Lead

The Senior Manager, Commercial Performance Optimization Technical Lead, provides hands-on technical leadership and architectural guidance for the Performance Optimization Global Capability team within the Advanced Analytics & Optimization suite. Reporting to the Technical Suite Lead, this role serves as the primary technical leader for the capability, partnering closely with the Global Capability Owner, Activation Lead, development teams, and/or vendor teams to ensure capability priorities and global standards.

The Performance Optimization team delivers global analytics capabilities that measure campaign performance, optimize marketing investment allocation, and provide standardized KPI frameworks and reporting solutions across brands and channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience after Bachelor's degree (or 5+ years of experience after Master's degree) in delivering performance optimization, promotional analytics, or marketing effectiveness solutions in pharma or life sciences.
• 2+ years of experience as a Tech Lead, Technical Program Manager, Engineering Manager, or other roles involving managing a team of developers.
• 2+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital platforms such as marketing mix modeling (MMM) solutions.
• Experience working within complex, matrixed organizations with multiple technology and capability teams.

Requirements

• Experience designing, testing, deploying, operating, and enhancing scalable, secure, and compliant technology solutions for large scale organizational use.
• Experience designing, operating, and evolving Marketing Mix Models, including model refresh cycles, assumptions governance, and alignment with Commercial decision-making timelines.
• Strong understanding of incrementality, attribution, and scenario modeling trade-offs.
• Understanding of enterprise software architecture, cloud platforms, and modern engineering frameworks.
• Ability to partner with Business teams to translate executive and Commercial requirements into scalable, well-governed reporting and analytics solutions.
• Experience leading mixed teams of internal developers and vendors.
• Experience working within Agile product development teams and product operating models.
