\nVerde Solutions is a leading renewable energy company focused on delivering high impact energy solutions across the United States. We are building for the long term and looking for a senior leader who can help accelerate growth, originate strong opportunities, and create meaningful enterprise value.
\n \nPosition Summary
\nThe Vice President of Development will lead strategic business development efforts for Verde Solutions, with a strong emphasis on revenue growth, channel development, market expansion, relationship management, and high value opportunity origination. This role reports directly to Chris Gersch and is designed for a leader who can both produce and build.
\n \nKey Responsibilities
\n• Lead strategic business development efforts across Verde Solutions
\n• Drive revenue growth through partnerships, channel relationships, and direct origination
\n• Establish and lead market expansion initiatives
\n• Manage and nurture relationships with external and internal stakeholders
\n• Source and advance high value opportunities across Verde Solutions’ core offerings
\n• Recruit and help develop top business development talent
\n• Work closely with leadership, legal, finance, and operations to move opportunities through execution
\n \nRequired Qualifications
\n• 7+ years in business development, sales leadership, project development, or related growth roles
\n• Strong experience in solar, energy storage, EV charging, energy services, infrastructure, or adjacent industries
\n• Demonstrated ability to originate and close complex, high value commercial opportunities
\n• Experience building strategic partnerships and channel relationships
\n• Strong communication, leadership, and executive presence
\n• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and move deals from origination through execution
\n• Strong business judgment, urgency, and accountability
\n \nPreferred Qualifications
\n• Existing relationships in commercial and industrial energy markets
\n• Experience scaling teams or recruiting producers
\n• Familiarity with financial structures, project economics, and long cycle sales environments
\n• Experience working with developers, EPCs, consultants, municipalities, school districts, or institutional buyers
\n \nCompensation and Upside
\n• Base salary of $180,000 to $220,000, based on experience
\n• Bonuses Based of Net Profit on qualified Verde Solutions deals above annual quota
\n• Project Bonuses of earned project commission paid within 30 days of permit approval, with the balance paid at the final project milestone
\n• Consultant override structure on Verde Solutions business
\n• Long term equity participation opportunity for exceptional performers, subject to company approval and governing documents
