Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately identify the needs, strengths, and treatment goals of individuals seeking substance use disorder treatment.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• Lead individual counseling sessions, employing techniques that encourage self-reflection and personal growth, tailored to the unique experiences of each client.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, creating a safe environment for sharing, understanding, and mutual support among participants.

• Engage collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services during substance-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and follow-up care for clients.

• Educate patients and their families on addiction recovery strategies, resources in the community, and the processes involved in accessing continued care.

• Ensure all documentation is accurate, confidential, and adheres to legal and ethical standards, thereby maintaining trust in the therapeutic relationship.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development, contributing insights from your clinical experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be veterans struggling with substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioids, and other substances. You will work closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, providing tailored support to uplift their journey toward recovery. Understanding the unique challenges faced by veterans will be critical in this role, as you navigate their emotional and behavioral health needs alongside their recovery goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of three years of direct experience in mental health therapy, preferably in a setting focused on substance use disorders.

• Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities specific to addiction and effective assessment techniques.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a non-judgmental approach to therapy and the ability to build rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
