This position is a full-time opportunity with a remote work setting, allowing flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with our outpatient office team. Our practice operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some evening shifts required based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the unique needs and goals of each client entering substance use disorder treatment.

• Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions tailored for recovery.

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions using strategies such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to empower clients.

• Lead group therapy sessions that foster peer support and collective healing, addressing common challenges in addiction recovery.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic and coordinated care approach.

• Provide crisis intervention in urgent situations, offering immediate support and resources for clients facing substance-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on addiction, recovery, coping strategies, and available community resources essential for successful reintegration.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and accuracy at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, the Licensed Mental Health Therapist will work primarily with adults and young adults struggling with substance use disorders. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and face unique challenges that require a tailored approach to treatment. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• Deep knowledge of evidence-based treatment methods for substance use disorders and a strong foundation in recovery-oriented care.

• Proven experience delivering individual and group therapy in clinical settings focused on addiction treatment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality in all aspects of care.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency with relevant computer applications.

• Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans for clients with co-occurring disorders.

• Additional training or certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
