About us

Market Securities Group is a global financial services group founded in 2008, with 300+ professionals and offices in New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Geneva, Monaco, Dubai and Hong Kong. Our legal finance desk arranges capital markets transactions for law firms: portfolio-backed credit facilities, term loans, syndications and securitizations. We are arrangers, not case funders.

The role

This is a highly commercial, face-to-face role built entirely around relationships with law firms. You will spend your time in front of managing partners and firm owners, whether in their offices, over dinner or at conferences. Your job is to earn their trust and turn those relationships into mandates. Structuring and execution sit with the deal team. We need you to bring the relationships, win the meetings and drive deals to close.

What you’ll do

• Meet plaintiff law firm partners in person, consistently, across the US
\n
• Originate financing mandates from contingency-fee firms in mass tort, personal injury and class action
\n
• Build and own a pipeline of decision-makers, and keep those relationships warm over the long term
\n
• Represent the firm at industry events such as AAJ, NTL and mass tort conferences, and host your own client dinners
\n
• Work with the MD and the structuring team to take each relationship from first meeting to signed mandate
\n

What you bring

\n
• A real rolodex: direct, personal relationships with decision-makers at contingency-fee plaintiff firms
\n
• A proven record of selling to those firms, whether financing, litigation funding, lead generation, case acquisition, legal tech or similar
\n
• A commercial, relationship-first style. You’d rather be in a room with a managing partner than behind a spreadsheet
\n
• Willingness to travel frequently

• 8+ years in business development or sales to the plaintiff bar
\n
• Based in the US (required)
