Organizational Overview BSF is the first foundation in Washington State dedicated to supporting public K‑12 education in the Bellevue School District, which serves over 19,000 students in a diverse community that speaks more than 100 languages. It mobilizes community investment to fund programs and services beyond the reach of public funding. Responsibilities Fundraising and Donor Development: lead the fundraising program, build a diversified long‑term strategy, and set clear growth goals to increase revenue. Community Presence and Relationship Building: serve as the trusted representative of BSF across the Bellevue community, engaging civic leaders, corporate partners, and peer organizations. District Partnership and Institutional Navigation: cultivate a close, productive partnership with the Bellevue School District and its superintendent, positioning BSF as an indispensable ally. People Management and Organizational Culture: develop and lead the team, coaching staff, and guiding performance while shaping culture. Financial Planning and Oversight: ensure BSF’s long‑term financial health through sound budget development and tracking of fundraising growth goals. Strategic Vision and Planning: lead an inclusive strategic planning process with the board and district, setting ambitious goals and creating shared direction. Qualifications Major gift fundraising experience: personally cultivating, stewarding, and closing gifts from individuals and corporations, and building a donor pipeline. Public presence and relationship‑building skills: serve as an organizational ambassador, engaging the community and representing the foundation alongside senior leaders. Staff leadership: hire, coach, manage performance, and foster a healthy workplace culture while building trust with the board. Senior nonprofit leadership skills: financial management, fundraising growth strategy, inclusive strategic planning, and board collaboration. Institutional partnership experience: navigate complex relationships with large public or nonprofit institutions with confidence and diplomacy. Cross‑cultural fluency: engage historically underrepresented communities and reflect the demographic diversity of Bellevue. Public education familiarity: interest in public education and willingness to learn the local philanthropic and district landscape. Compensation and Benefits This is a full‑time, salaried exempt position with an expected salary range of $150,000‑$170,000. The office is located in Bellevue’s Welcome Center; work is a hybrid schedule with at least three days in office per week. The role includes evening and weekend commitments with flexibility during the work week.
