Position Overview

Calm Body Innovative Fitness & Rehab is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Fairfax, Virginia. Work Environment

The therapy environment at our rehabilitation center is fast-paced yet collaborative, allowing for close interactions among staff and patients. You will work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitative equipment and technology, providing therapists with the tools necessary to deliver evidence-based practices effectively. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs, creating individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's goals.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and modality applications, which may involve traction and massage therapy.
• Lead and mentor physical therapy assistants in the execution of treatment plans, ensuring all treatment protocols are followed correctly and effectively.
• Engage in continual assessment of patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical judgment to optimize recovery.
• Conduct home environment evaluations for clients requiring rehabilitation, providing practical advice to enhance patient independence.
• Document progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries meticulously, maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Collaborate actively with an interdisciplinary team, participating in case conferences to provide comprehensive and holistic treatment modalities.
• Foster open communication with patients and their families, educating them on treatment regimens and encouraging active participation in their care journey.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in physical therapy practices to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. You will be pivotal in supporting elderly clients requiring rehabilitation post-hospitalization or those with mobility challenges due to various health conditions. Our approach centers on a strong therapeutic alliance with patients, emphasizing individualized protocols that consider personal health histories and lifestyle preferences.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with a commitment to pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a physical therapy role, preferably in a rehabilitation or acute care setting.
• Current physical therapy licensure in the state of Virginia (or eligible for licensure). Must hold a current CPR certification.
• Demonstrative passion for clinical excellence, integrity, and dedication to patient-centered care.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.
• A proactive problem-solver capable of making informed decisions and adjustments based on evolving patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation center or outpatient clinic.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 - 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
