Work Environment

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at our clinic, you will work onsite in a hospital setting, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Our typical work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose patients' mental health conditions.
• Provide ongoing medication management by prescribing and monitoring psychiatric medications, ensuring treatment effectiveness while addressing any side effects.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Offer crisis intervention services to support patients experiencing acute emotional distress, assessing needs and providing immediate therapeutic interventions.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to raise mental health awareness and educate the community on available resources and services.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic support, including counseling and psychoeducation, to empower patients in their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and the highest standards of confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including individuals and families from various cultural backgrounds who may present with a wide range of mental health issues. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nursing with specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a psychiatric specialization is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and team members are critical.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a community health center or similar mental health setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
