Administrative Assistant (with previous bookkeeping experience)

As an administrative assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting the success of the practice by providing a variety of high-quality administrative support to our Client Account Services Department. This position requires the ability to manage various relationships, with professionalism and clear communication. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a desire to grow in their career with ABIP.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support as directed.
  • Develop a good working relationship with all levels of staff in all departments.
  • Make time and expense entries accurately in a timely manner.
  • Handle all incoming calls proficiently and follow through with issues raised with appropriate parties.
  • Function as a backup for other administrative professionals within the group and support other teaming activities as directed.
  • Perform administrative duties to include but not limited to scanning, filing, printing, mailing
  • Use internal technology to update / maintain client records.
  • Any other duties assigned by department/firm management

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required at a minimum, Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous bookkeeping experience is required
  • Professionalism required
  • Organized, detail-oriented, competent follow through skills
  • Excellent computer skills - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills - spelling, grammar and proofreading
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills - positive/friendly demeanor, attentive listener
  • Ability to exercise good judgment/decision making when necessary
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task - great time management
  • Ability to take initiative - assertive and confident
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
