Position Overview This position will support bus operations and service planning projects such as Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), bus network redesign, zero emission transition planning, microtransit, and paratransit. Candidates are not required to have experience in all areas highlighted in this posting. This is an intermediate position requiring 10+ years of experience. Responsibilities Manage projects related to bus operations and service planning. Provide technical expertise to support cross-discipline project teams planning, designing, and implementing bus and paratransit solutions for our clients. Complete cost estimates associated with planned projects. Serve as a subject matter expert on bus fleet planning. Develop cost estimates and life cycle analyses to assess existing bus operations. Review technical documents such as design plans and other engineering related deliverables. Produce quality assurance plans and oversee quality control programs. Prepare technical documents/reports and present to clients, project teams, etc. Develop and maintain productive working relationships. Continuous effective communication and relationship building with clients during the development and implementation of projects. Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions. Qualifications BS degree in planning or related field. 10+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience. Experience working with major transit agencies. Experience completing network redesigns of bus networks. Experience planning for new BRT service. Experience with business development and proposal development for consulting work. Base Compensation $130,000 - $155,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location) Benefits Health and welfare benefits: top‑tier medical coverage, prescription drug, dental, vision; flexible spending accounts and a health savings account (with a generous employer contribution); life, accident, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; employee wellness program. Paid time away from work: 3-4 weeks of vacation based on experience and company discretion, prorated in the first year based on hire date (up to 2.5 weeks can be carried over per year); 10 paid holidays; 10 sick days per calendar year, with the ability to carry over sick time to a maximum of 40 days; partial paid parental leave up to 12 weeks for birth parents and 4 weeks for non‑birth parents.
