Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist in our home care setting, you will frequently travel to patients' residences throughout Winchester and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in their home environments to assess their physical therapy needs and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize various treatment modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and assistive devices, to alleviate pain and promote functional mobility.
• Track, document, and analyze patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize rehabilitation and support recovery goals.
• Work closely with patients and their families, providing education on therapeutic exercises and assistive devices, ensuring they understand their role in the recovery process.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals recovering from various injuries, surgeries, and medical conditions. This diverse client base includes children, adults, and the elderly, each requiring tailored approaches to meet their unique rehabilitation needs. Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to patient care, catering to various environments and needs.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with at least two years of clinical experience in a home care setting or similar environment will find their application advantages.
