Job Overview Position Title: Family Time Coordinator (Social Service Assistant) – Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred (Not required) Salary Range: $4,124 - $5,714 per month. Position Type: Employee. About the Role As an employee within the Child Welfare Program, you will coordinate family visitation for children and families across Oregon, ensuring safety, comfort, and support. Responsibilities Implement and manage individual visitation agreements by coordinating with case workers, clients, and caregivers. Plan visit schedules, locations, supervision levels, and safety measures using information from various sources. Review and explain visitation agreements and guidelines to clients, family members, and caregivers. Ensure children’s safety and well‑being during visits and transport, addressing any issues and documenting outcomes. Communicate visitation expectations and respond to post‑visit inquiries from caregivers and family members. Provide transportation support for children and others associated with the case, supporting their emotional needs. Keep accurate records, prepare court notes, provide feedback to service workers, and participate in meetings and conferences. Minimum Qualifications A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting, OR an associate degree in any field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential Attributes Administrative support experience (coordination of schedules, managing correspondence, maintaining organized records). Experience narrating or documenting observations and information related to client cases, ensuring accurate and detailed record of activities and progress. Knowledge and experience using trauma‑informed practices and integrating these values into client interactions and support services. Clear communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse populations, ensuring culturally sensitive and inclusive approaches. Experience working with children and families from a wide variety of backgrounds and ability to demonstrate intercultural competency. Additional Requirements Background check: criminal history and FBI CJIS fingerprint check. Work hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 10AM–7PM (hours may fluctuate). Occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required. Travel to meetings, training, and case activities is expected. Physical demands: frequent activity including climbing stairs, walking on uneven terrain, assistance of children into and out of car seats, may include lifting up to 40pounds.
