Position Overview

Joint Relief Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our compassionate team based in Elko, Nevada. This full-time position will enable you to leverage your expertise in a home care setting, allowing patients to recover in the comfort of their own homes while receiving personalized, evidence-based therapy tailored to their individual needs.

Work Environment

This role requires you to be onsite, primarily working in patients' homes where you will provide one-on-one therapy sessions without the assistance of aides or technicians. This responsibility allows you to cultivate a therapeutic relationship with each patient, assessing their unique circumstances and delivering focused care that maximizes effectiveness and efficiency in their rehabilitation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and develop customized treatment plans tailored to their specific diagnoses and rehabilitation goals.
• Implement a variety of hands-on, evidence-based therapeutic interventions for orthopedic conditions, covering everything from postoperative rehabilitation to chronic pain management.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques to facilitate pain reduction, increase mobility, and enhance overall patient function.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring that each individual receives undivided attention and high-quality care for optimal recovery.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient treatment outcomes.
• Participate in a structured mentorship program guided by a fellowship-trained therapist, fostering professional development through ongoing education and skill enhancement.
• Accurately document clinical findings and treatment plans in compliance with federal healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a varied patient population that includes post-surgical patients, athletes recovering from injuries, and active adults with chronic conditions. Your effective communication and patient engagement skills will be crucial as you educate patients on their conditions and involve them actively in their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Nevada is a must.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic or rehabilitation services is required.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and evidence-based rehabilitation practices to provide high-quality care.
• Excellent communication abilities, fostering rapport and trust with patients.
• Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently and as an integral part of a collaborative healthcare team.
• A commitment to continuing professional development and education.

Preferred Experience

• Experience specifically in home health settings, providing face-to-face therapies in patients' residences.
• Background in working with a broad range of orthopedic conditions, including pre- and post-operative care.
• Familiarity with current treatment modalities and rehabilitation technology.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
