General Accounting & Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Pay: $27.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Evaluation Hire
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a General Accounting & Accounts Payable Specialist for one of our valued Orange County clients.

What You’ll Be Doing- Maintain financial records and assist with balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and other financial reporting.
- Review and match vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Enter invoices, code expenses to the appropriate accounts and cost centers, and process payments by check, ACH, or wire transfer.
- Reconcile vendor statements, accounts payable records, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Investigate invoice discrepancies, duplicate payments, missing invoices, discounts, and payment terms.
- Maintain accurate vendor files and communicate with suppliers to resolve questions or discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end closing, accruals, audits, and management reporting.
- Follow company policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Two to three years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of general accounting principles and GAAP.
- Experience with invoice processing, account reconciliations, expense coding, and vendor management.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- SAP experience is beneficial but not required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
