Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments through virtual consultations, considering the emotional, social, and psychological challenges faced by patients and their families.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are sensitive to the unique experiences of hospice patients, focusing on emotional well-being and coping strategies.

• Utilize established therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and grief counseling to provide effective interventions that address common mental health issues experienced by patients and family members.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions virtually, encouraging open dialogue around grief, loss, and end-of-life concerns.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and chaplains, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care that considers all facets of patient well-being.

• Respond to urgent mental health needs, including crisis intervention, and make referrals to additional care services when necessary.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and resources available, empowering them to seek help and understand treatment options.

• Maintain meticulous records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves individuals in hospice care, as well as their families. Many patients may be experiencing terminal illnesses, and as such, the emotional and psychological aspects of care are paramount. Your expertise will help ease anxiety, foster acceptance, and support both patients and their loved ones through the end-of-life process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current LCSW licensure in Nevada.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, particularly in mental health or hospice settings.

• Strong understanding of both mental health disorders and grief processes, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough mental health screenings and formulate effective treatment plans.

• Experience in providing counseling services through both individual and group therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
