Spyglass Talent Solutions, a retained recruitment firm based in Raleigh, NC, has been engaged by Paragon Safety Group to conduct a search for a Business Developer. Paragon Safety Group is seeking a driven Business Developer to help expand its Safety Consulting division, which includes safety audits, inspections, and compliance solutions. This role will focus on building relationships with small to mid-sized general contractors (GCs) and specialty contractors (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, concrete, paving, etc.) within a 2–3-hour radius of Raleigh, driving new business and expanding Paragon’s client base. As a leader in workplace safety training, consulting, and staffing across the Southeast, Paragon Safety Group helps companies maintain OSHA compliance, reduce risk, and improve job site safety. Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and general contracting sectors. Prospect, cold call, and schedule 10-15 client meetings per week with decision-makers. Develop and maintain relationships with GCs, subcontractors, and specialty trade companies. Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction. Research upcoming construction projects, obtain subcontractor lists, and identify key bidding opportunities. Provide insight into market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly. Consistently generate new revenue by expanding the client base Qualifications: 2+ years of business development experience, ideally in construction, staffing, insurance or a related industry. A hunter mentality with a strong ability to build new relationships, cold call, and close deals. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
