STAFF PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST

Job Summary Salary: $7,498.00 – $9,317.00 per month. Location: Chino Sector Office, 1879 Jackson Street, Riverside, CA 92504. Staff Park and Recreation Specialist (Staff PRS) reports to the State Park Superintendent, V. The role involves planning, organizing, and managing the Sector’s operational program, including budgeting, staff oversight, reporting, and protection of cultural and natural resources. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage the sector’s operational program. Assist in developing budgets and management plans. Oversee staff, prepare reports, correspondences, and schedules. Monitor expenditures of seasonal salaries, operating expenses, and maintenance funds. Manage protection and utilization of sector’s cultural and natural resources, real property, and programs. Travel locally, overnight, and statewide for training, conferences, and other events as required. Minimum Requirements Valid California Class C driver’s license. Clearance from a background investigation prior to appointment. Ability and willingness to travel as required. Meet the minimum qualifications listed in the Classification Specification. Working Conditions Indoor desk work with occasional field work in various climates and terrain. The position is not telework eligible.
