Our remote work setting allows for flexibility and convenience, promoting a healthy work-life balance for our therapists while providing support to clients in need. Although you’ll primarily work from home, you’ll be equipped with the latest digital technology and administrative support to ensure you can deliver high-quality care efficiently. In addition, this role allows for the option of in-person sessions at our outpatient office in Lakewood, NJ, once it is deemed appropriate.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at New Era Behavioral Health, you will play a pivotal role in providing therapeutic services to couples and families. Your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored treatment plans for clients.
\n
• Facilitating therapy sessions for couples, addressing relational dynamics and interpersonal concerns.
\n
• Offering individual therapy sessions, focusing on personal struggles and developmental issues that affect family relationships.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based practices to effectively address a variety of challenges, including alcohol and substance abuse, grief and loss, family conflicts, communication issues, and adjustment to separation or divorce.

• Documenting client progress and adjustments to treatment plans in compliance with organization standards.
\n
• Collaborating with other members of the clinical team to ensure holistic care and appropriate referrals when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our therapists work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families navigating various challenges such as:

• Alcohol and substance abuse issues.
\n
• Experiencing physical or psychological abuse.
\n
• Grief and loss endeavors.
\n
• Family dynamics including sibling conflicts and cut-offs.
\n
• Families facing adjustments due to separation, divorce, or the blending of families.

• Challenges related to job stress and medical issues.

• Communication difficulties within family settings.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• Active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.

• A strong foundation in therapeutic modalities and a passion for providing compassionate care.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with a minimum of two years' experience in a therapeutic setting will be prioritized. Experience working with family systems or in outpatient mental health services is highly beneficial.
