Senior Program Manager

Freese and Nichols is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead major programs from setup through close‑out in Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves serving as an extension of the client’s staff to deliver quality projects on time and within budget. Key duties include: Leading all phases of program delivery—setup, governance, execution, close‑out Managing direct prime and subconsultant contracts and overseeing related staff Aligning teams around program goals and integrating activities across the portfolio Building and managing stakeholder relationships, including executive level client stakeholders Negotiating with contractors and subcontractors on complex construction projects and overseeing change‑management recommendations Guiding staffing, work scheduling, and resource allocation across teams, departments, and business units Supporting program quality by reinforcing FNI quality processes, participating in risk decisions, and improving tools and processes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 10+ years of experience in program, project, or construction‑related work Experience leading complex programs with multiple stakeholders, contracts, and delivery phases Experience managing program plans, budgets, schedules, staffing, and client communication Preferred: experience leading high‑value construction negotiations and change‑management processes; experience managing strategic client relationships; supervising large program or project teams; mentoring less experienced staff; supporting program quality, risk review, and process improvement Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills PMP or CCM certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire) Freese and Nichols is a professional planning, consulting and engineering firm serving clients across the United States.
