Position Lecturer Pool for the Department of Advanced Educational Studies Type & Availability Temporary, Part‑time. Academic Year 2026/2027. Available Fall 2026/Spring 2027. Position Description The Department of Advanced Educational Studies accepts applications on an ongoing basis for a pool of part‑time lecturers. The pool may fill short‑term temporary Lecturer positions across the campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. The pool is valid for the current academic year and will close on May 31, 2027. Minimum Qualifications Educational Administration Program Terminal degree in Educational Leadership (or closely related field) Current or recent successful experience as an educational leader in PK‑12 institutions Educational Counseling: Student Affairs Program Master’s degree or higher in education, counseling, or related field Minimum of two years working with diverse populations Educational Counseling: School Counseling PPS Credential Program Master’s degree or higher in education, counseling, or related field Minimum of two years of experience as a school counselor in TK‑12 public school, working with diverse student populations Special Education Program Minimum of three years of TK‑12 public school teaching serving students with disabilities in cross‑cultural settings A clear credential/certificate in the field of application Preferred Qualifications (All Advanced Educational Studies Department Programs) Successful university‑level teaching and supervision experiences Experience with educational technology Record of teaching excellence English learner authorization/certification Experience of online/virtual teaching Experience in a mentoring role with educators Demonstration of collegial teamwork Earned a Master’s degree or higher in Education or a related discipline Experience in teaching, counseling, and/or school administration in the CSUB serving areas Experience with state assessments such as California Teacher Performance Assessment or California Administrator Performance Assessment Bilingual Rank and Salary Lecturer. Anticipated salary range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. Full‑time equivalent salary ranges are as follows (amounts pro‑rated for part‑time assignments): Lecturer AY (Range 2) – $5,507 – $6,677 Lecturer AY (Range 3) – $6,221 – $13,224 Lecturer AY (Range 4) – $6,825 – $14,523 Lecturer AY (Range 5) – $8,593 – $15,211 Application Process Please apply online at CSUB Careers: Required Background Checks and Legal Requirements Background check and criminal records check must be satisfactorily completed.
