Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs and objectives of clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, utilizing standardized assessments and clinical interviews.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes, integrating evidence-based practices to address specific challenges faced by clients.

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions focused on motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques to help clients build coping strategies and resilience.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that encourage peer support, sharing of experiences, and development of social skills among participants.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care that encompasses all aspects of the client's wellbeing.

• Offer crisis intervention support during emergency situations, ensuring a safe and responsive environment for clients in need.

• Educate clients and their families on the nature of addiction, available recovery strategies, and resources within the community to support continued recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on individuals navigating the complex landscape of recovery from substance use disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and face unique challenges in their recovery journeys. The therapist will be expected to use empathy and insight to create a safe space for clients, fostering trust and promoting healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a reputable accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A robust understanding of substance use disorders, including knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and recovery-oriented practices.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy in addiction treatment settings.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• The ability to maintain professional ethical standards and client confidentiality at all times.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to track and manage client information.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in substance use disorder counseling, especially in telehealth settings, will be at an advantage. Familiarity with specialized treatment modalities and crisis management strategies is also favorable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus opportunities for performance bonuses.
